Benjamin Kidston

Mr Kidston has a largely commercial and corporate practice and advises on and appears in trial and appellate proceedings in State and Federal courts, tribunals and commercial arbitrations, with and without a leader.


Mr Kidston was awarded a Bachelor of Applied Science (Biotech) and a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology in 1999. After completing articles of clerkship, he was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1999 and later in New South Wales and the High Court.


As a solicitor and senior associate, Mr Kidston practiced predominantly in commercial litigation in Brisbane and Sydney, and lastly at Home Wilkinson Lowry (now HWL Ebsworth).


In 2004 Mr Kidston was called to the Queensland Bar and admitted to practice before the High Court, and has been in private practice continuously since that time.


In 2016 and 2021 Mr Kidston was appointed a sessional member of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.


Mr Kidston also acts as a specialist adjudicator in body corporate disputes and regularly appointed to act as mediator in relation to a broad range of disputes.
